Holistic rehabilitation
Thematic focus
Holistic rehabilitation is not only concerned with the specific illness that requires therapy, but also takes an individual and comprehensive approach to the patient. Due to the increase in chronic illnesses in particular, mental health must be taken into account just as much as physical health.
In the private healthcare sector, an individual treatment plan has always been developed for each patient in close coordination. The various healthcare professions work closely together from the diagnosis stage right through to rehabilitation. Doctors, psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and nursing staff are closely networked and have a common goal: to prepare their patients in the best possible way for their return to everyday life. In confidential discussions, they work together to determine how the skills learned during rehabilitation can be integrated into everyday life and how the patient's quality of life can be sustainably improved. The medical healing process is just as important as the mental state - because only if both sides are taken into account can we speak of a holistic recovery.
Great importance is attached to designing private rehabilitation facilities in accordance with the evidence-based "healing environment" approach. The conscious use of light and furnishing elements (such as green plants, oases of calm, window fronts, etc.) has been scientifically proven to significantly improve and shorten the recovery process. Stress factors caused by a sterile, clinical environment are thus significantly reduced.
In the spirit of "get well - stay well", the aim of holistic rehabilitation is not to restore the patient's health in a hurry, but to help them make a lasting recovery and learn to deal with their illness in a confident manner and with as little discomfort as possible.
