In August, Privatklinik Graz Ragnitz started training four apprentices in nursing, thus expanding its training program to a total of ten apprenticeships in various areas.
Since August, nursing apprentices have been supporting the four wards at Privatklinik Graz Ragnitz, giving them the opportunity to learn the profession of nursing assistant from scratch. "We were involved in the development of the nursing apprenticeship right from the start and are very proud to now be able to offer the nursing assistant apprenticeship as a private clinic," reports Barbara Harmtodt, Nursing Director at Privatklinik Graz Ragnitz. "Our apprentices benefit from practical training in a state-of-the-art environment. Working in a private clinic requires a multidisciplinary approach and a high level of professional competence. We prepare our trainees for their professional future in the best possible way. We wish our four nursing apprentices all the best for their apprenticeship and every success."
During their training, the nursing trainees get to know all areas of the clinic. From patient services and admissions to central medical diagnostics and the medical depot, they are given an insight into the diverse day-to-day life of the clinic. A rotation on the wards enables them to get to know the daily routine of the entire clinic. After four years of training, they graduate as nursing assistants.
In addition to the nursing apprentices, Privatklinik Graz Ragnitz is currently training a further six apprentices as administrative assistants, medical product clerks and chefs. "With our apprenticeship program, we want to make an active contribution to solving the shortage of skilled workers and inspire young people for the exciting and diverse professions in the healthcare sector," explains Prim. Dr. Pedram Afschar, Managing Director and Medical Director of the clinic.
In addition to the apprenticeship program, Privatklinik Graz Ragnitz also offers various other training opportunities. For example, the clinic has been a cooperation partner of universities of applied sciences and training institutes for nursing professions for many years. It also offers internships for medical students and specialist training in anaesthesia.
