True to the motto "Competent and innovative - the future of professional nursing", the first Ragnitz Nursing Symposium took place on March 14, 2024 at the Privatklinik Graz Ragnitz. A varied program highlighted many innovative and positive aspects of the nursing profession and motivated the audience to look boldly into the future.
"The nursing symposium was fully booked, which shows the high level of interest in the many different nursing topics we had on the program," says Barbara Harmtodt, Director of Nursing at Privatklinik Graz Ragnitz. "Professional nursing is extremely diverse, innovative and competent. We were able to convey this with our symposium and highlight complex and forward-looking aspects and developments in the profession."
16 presentations on a wide range of topics such as nursing education, e.g. forensic nursing or nursing theory, nursing news, e.g. the use of sensor technology for fall prevention or recruiting in India, through to the future of nursing, e.g. the use of virtual reality or the digital clinic, made the day exciting and entertaining for the participants.
Robert Seeger's keynote speech, which reminded the audience how important it is to present a positive and courageous image and tell the right stories, received a great deal of applause. "Be bold, be digital and - with the right storytelling - be unmistakable," was the message.
