Privatklinik Laßnitzhöhe celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Vanessa Aspäck, qualified nurse at the Laßnitzhöhe Private Hospital, introduces herself and her profession.
How did you decide to pursue this profession?
It was always my childhood dream to become a nurse. For me, it is an indescribably wonderful feeling to be needed. I don't think nursing is a profession, but a vocation. I also love working in an intact team.
What is special about your work at Privatklinik Laßnitzhöhe?
For me, it is special that we are like a family and I really enjoy going to work because of that. No matter how stressful the times are for nursing, we still have fun and always treat each other with respect. The multi-professional collaboration also works very well, as we all treat each other as equals.
What are your favorite places in the clinic?
Firstly, this is my base. I have to say that I love this workspace because it's very large and well laid out. My second favorite place is our balcony in the old building. Whenever I have the opportunity to go to our balcony in the old building, I do. It's always quiet there and the view is absolutely amazing. It's a place where I can clear my head for a moment.
