Nestled in the unspoilt natural landscape of the Göstling Alps, flanked by Hochkar and Dürrenstein, the municipality of Göstling an der Ybbs offers the ideal setting for a very special therapy and wellness center - the Emotion Life Center - unique in its kind - far beyond the region.
Cycle paths along the idyllic course of the River Ybbs, extensive hiking trails, the Dürrenstein-Lassingtal wilderness, the Hochreit cross-country ski trail, the Hochkar winter sports metropolis - all in close proximity to Lake Lunz, Ötscher, Salzatal, Waidhofen/Ybbs and the district town of Scheibbs - the region around Göstling has been a popular and well-known recreational retreat for generations. - No wonder that 15 years ago, Mayor Viktor Gusel came up with the idea of installing the Ybbstaler Solebad here to round off the leisure facilities - in combination with a modern center where everything revolves around health, rehabilitation, fitness and wellness.
Gusel found a competent partner for his idea in Dr. Michael Putz, an experienced, ambitious and technically versatile physician. Michael Putz had long been aware that many of his patients needed post-operative treatment, for example after joint replacements and ligament reconstructions, in order to regain their former mobility - and as close to home as possible. - Finally, in 2009, the Ybbstaler Solebad opened together with the Emotion Life Center (ELC for short) in a very special symbiosis. Despite this congenial constellation, the early years were more than arduous. Health insurance contracts had to be negotiated and Michael Putz had to overcome many hurdles and take financial risks in order to make the institute profitable. However, his personal commitment and that of his employees and the Mayor of Göstling, Fritz Fahrnberger, quickly ensured that the ELC was able to establish itself and soon made a name for itself beyond the region.
For 15 years now, contracts have been in place with all Austrian health insurance companies and patients from all directions within a good 60 kilometers - from Lower Austria, Styria, Upper Austria and Vienna - come to Göstling and are happy to travel more than an hour by car to receive the right treatment here. The cooperation with regional accommodation providers enables attractive packages for longer stays. - Physiotherapy, massage, medical training therapy, underwater therapy in the saltwater pool, a well-equipped fitness studio, extensive course programs, indoor and outdoor sports and training and numerous wellness offers - the Emotion Life Center has long since established itself as the therapy center of the Mostviertel - as an institute for physical medicine and massage.
45 employees from the region work here on 750 square meters, with four doctors and a psychologist looking after the patients. In 2023, Michael Putz took another hurdle and expanded the existing premises by an additional 215 square meters - offices, staff rooms and, of course, more space for treatment options. In addition to medical treatments, the ELC also offers cosmetics, manicures and pedicures. A new relaxation oasis is available for the extensive range of massages, with special massages such as Mandaraana, Hot Stone, Lomi Lomi, RI massage and much more.
As founder and director of the ELC, Dr. Michael Putz has created and achieved great things. For him and his team, the focus is on the patient, accepting their needs and problems with a special warmth and understanding in order to achieve the best possible result together.
